MERCED, CA – Officer McKeeman responded to the Creekside Apartments, 2813 Park Ave, on February 2, 2016 for a burglary report. Officer McKeeman learned that the suspect, later identified as Charles Pullen (29, Merced) had cut the lock off of an enclosed trailer parked in the apartment complex. The trailer was being used by the contractor to store tools in while they renovated several different apartments within the complex. Pullen stole approximately $ 2,700.00 dollars worth of tools from the trailer.
Through the investigation Charles Pullen was identified as the suspect. When officers contacted Pullen, who lives in one of the Creekside Apartments, they located several of the stolen tools in Pullen’s apartment. The officers located additional stolen tools in Pullen’s vehicle also. Pullen confessed to stealing the tools from the trailer.
The tools were returned to the contractor and Pullen was arrested and booked into Merced County Jail for burglary and possession of stolen property.
