MERCED, CA – At approximately 11:27 p.m., Thursday evening, the Merced PD dispatch received a report of a robbery that occurred at 23rd and K Streets.  A male wearing a black hoodie and a female wearing a grey sweatshirt were described as the suspects. The victim alleges that while they were standing in the area of the 300 block of W. 23rd Street they were hit on the head with an unknown object. It is not known if the victim lost conscious or just what items were taken from the victim.

When officers arrived on scene, they checked the area for the suspects who were last seen walking toward Santa Fe but they were unable to locate anyone.  Officers were also unable to locate the alleged victim who reportedly left in a white car.

Then, just this morning 2/26/16 at approximately 1:15 a.m., the Merced PD was dispatched to the 1400 block of W. 2nd Street for another alleged robbery that was similar to the earlier report. This time the victim met with officers and said that while he was walking near Rancho San Miguel on Yosemite Park Way, a white male hit him in the head with a gun and stole his cell phone and money.  The victim also described the suspect wearing a black hoodie and a gray shirt, but Merced PD has not yet located a suspect in this case.
