MERCED, CA РAt approximately 1:00 a.m., this morning, officers with the Merced PD pulled over a truck for suspicion of drunk driving. The stop occurred in the area of  M and Yosemite Streets in Merced.

After a search of the pickup, officers discovered methamphetamine inside. The passenger, who has been identified as Dominic Falasco, admitted the drugs were his. The driver of the vehicle was also searched and they found more meth and marijuana.

Dominic Falasco is a very well-known defense attorney who has worked on high-profile cases including the Tao Rivera capital murder trial for the death of officer Stephan Gray. He was also elected to the Los Banos Unified School District Board in 2012.

Booking records indicate that Falasco was booked for marijuana, marijuana concentrate, and meth, all misdemeanors and he has since bailed out of jail.

The driver of the vehicle was cited and released for allegedly driving without a license. This story will be updated.
