Family and friends have setup a fundraiser at YouCaring.com.

The 2:00 p.m. collision sent her young infant child to a Fresno hospital with a broken femur and the driver of the other vehicle involved, a 35-year-old woman from Los Banos, was also sent to a Modesto Memorial via air ambulance.

The family is need of financial and in-kind donations like clothing, baby bottles, wipes, Similac Advanced formula, a car seat for a 6 month old and anything else that can help raise Destiny’s surviving child. If you would like to help with in-kind donations, please contact Audreyanna Bernard Lagunas on Facebook. We will try to get a better way of contacting her and will update the information.

  1. My name is John, I grew up with Destiny when her and my father where both vacationing in the same area. She grew to become a really understanding person who’d stop at nothing to help someone. To hear news of loved ones passing is hard and heavy on the heart. In my opinion, her rein here ended way to soon. She loved her kids and her family. Her mom, a very close friend of my mom, is truly in turmoil over this situation. I couldn’t imagine the hurt she must feel but, I would like to just take this opportunity to write exclusively to her. Aunty, my family and me are really sorry for what happened. I’m sorry we’re not their yet but, we will be soon. You’ve always been one of the strongest people I know, and it is in that strength that you need to tap into in order to be strong for your family. There are no words to express the way my family feels over this horrendous tragedy but, please rest assured that we will be there to help pick up the pieces and fragments of what’s left of your baby girls memory and give it honor. Your little angle that guided his momma to the gates of everlasting peace, will be ever known as a graceful hero. In their time of need, his innocence would be the shield that would protect them both no matter the situation. I extend our heart filled condolences to you and your family.
