MERCED, CA – Just two months after being hired as Merced’s new city attorney 47-year-old Jennifer McGrath was terminated this past Monday by the Merced City Council.
No one from the city has explained yet to the Merced City taxpayers why she was fired during the council’s closed door session on Monday. McGrath had been on the job for just two months after being hired in March.
The city attorney before her, Randolph Hom, quit the job on December 20, 2015 after just a short 9 months on the job, supposedly for a better paying job in Cupertino, CA.
It took the city three months including an untold amount of tax payer’s money to find McGrath who was the city attorney for Huntington Beach, CA. As the city’s attorney, she was contracted to earn $180,000 in annual salary.
McGrath seemed to be a very successful city attorney during her time in Huntington Beach. Read more about her successes here – http://www.jennifermcgrath.com/archives/huntington-beach-city-attorney/
